Late winter to spring
Prevent and feed
Pre-emergent barriers go down before weeds germinate, and the first balanced feedings green the lawn up as it comes out of dormancy. A clean, well-fed start sets up the whole year.
Environmental · Lawn Care Program
A great commercial lawn is the product of the right things done at the right time, all season long. Our lawn care program keeps turf lush and healthy across metro Atlanta with a series of timed rounds, feeding, weed control, and preventive insect and disease care, all applied by certified applicators and built on the principle that healthy turf resists problems better than any treatment cures them.
Why a program beats a rescue
By the time a lawn looks bad, the problem has usually been building for weeks: weeds that were never stopped, feeding that came too late, insects that went unchecked. A timed program gets ahead of all of that, so the turf stays consistently healthy instead of swinging between green and struggling.
The seven-round program
Each round targets what the turf needs at that point in the season. Timing is matched to your turf type and property, and every application is made and documented by a certified applicator.
| Round | Season and focus | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Late winter to early spring: prevent | A pre-emergent barrier to stop crabgrass and annual weeds before they germinate. |
| 2 | Spring: feed and weed | A balanced feeding to green the turf up as it wakes, broadleaf weed control, and a second pre-emergent barrier. |
| 3 | Late spring to early summer: grow | Balanced feeding for summer density, with preventive grub and disease control. |
| 4 | Summer: protect | Broadleaf and nutsedge control with surface-insect and fire-ant suppression as the heat peaks. |
| 5 | Late summer: recover | Balanced feeding to keep the stand dense and help it recover from summer stress. |
| 6 | Early fall: open up | Feeding plus aeration preparation to relieve compaction and set up strong fall rooting. |
| 7 | Late fall: harden off | A winterizer feeding for cold hardiness and a final broadleaf cleanup before dormancy. |
Rounds are a general representation of a warm-season program. The exact materials, rates, and timing are matched to your turf type and property and confirmed in your proposal.
The rhythm of the year
Behind the seven rounds is a simple seasonal logic: prevent early, grow and protect through the heat, recover and open up the soil in fall, and harden off before winter.
Late winter to spring
Pre-emergent barriers go down before weeds germinate, and the first balanced feedings green the lawn up as it comes out of dormancy. A clean, well-fed start sets up the whole year.
Late spring to summer
Balanced feeding drives summer density while preventive grub, disease, and surface-insect control keep pressure down through the heat, when a thin lawn is most likely to lose ground.
Late summer to early fall
Feeding helps the turf recover from summer stress, and aeration relieves the compaction that builds up over a hard-used season, so water, air, and roots move freely again.
Late fall to winter
A winterizer feeding builds cold hardiness and a final weed cleanup leaves the dormant turf clean going into winter, ready to come back strong in spring.
What is and is not included
The program covers routine feeding and weed control and the preventive side of insect and disease pressure. Bigger or specialized problems are handled honestly, as additional services, so the program stays predictable and you are never billed for a surprise.
Good questions
Because turf care is a season-long job, not a one-time treatment. Weeds germinate at different times, the lawn needs feeding at the right growth stages, and pressure from insects and disease rises and falls through the year. Spreading the work across timed rounds means each application lands when it will actually help, which is what keeps the lawn consistently lush instead of green-then-struggling.
Each round is built around what the turf needs at that point in the season: pre-emergent weed barriers early, balanced feedings through the growing season, preventive insect and disease control in summer, aeration preparation in fall, and a winterizer to close the year. The specifics are matched to your turf type and property, and every application is made by a certified applicator and documented.
The program covers routine feeding and weed control and preventive insect and disease pressure. Some issues fall outside it: a severe disease outbreak, an established subterranean-insect infestation, or a soil amendment such as lime. Those can be provided as additional services once we diagnose them, explain the corrective action and its cost, and get your approval. Nothing extra is applied without a sign-off.
Special Services →Mostly just mow and water sensibly, which is where a management program helps: the same firm mowing your grounds and watching your irrigation is coordinating with the turf-care rounds, so the mowing height, the watering, and the treatments all work together instead of against each other.
Landscape Management →No. The rounds of the program are agreed in advance. Anything beyond them is diagnosed, quoted, and approved by you before it happens, so there is never a treatment on your bill you did not authorize.
